The time has come! After years of requests, Ugears proudly presents the Aero Clock—a fully-functioning, wall-mounted, DIY wooden clock with pendulum.

Powered by a weighted bag (filled with sand or salt), the clock operates through a system of gears and an escapement, regulated by an adjustable pendulum. Time is displayed via rotating numbered discs under a fixed pointer, and a charming hot air balloon drops on the hour and rises again—Ugears’ whimsical version of a cuckoo.

Inspired by early aeronautics and the balloon craze of the 18th century, the Aero Clock blends steampunk aesthetics with real engineering. It celebrates the role clocks played in navigation history—like John Harrison’s marine chronometers that helped solve the longitude problem at sea.
