Access and use of this Website, together with the sale and the purchase of products from the Site, are governed by the terms and conditions set out below. By using the Site you agree to accept the following terms and conditions. A contract between easons.com and the customer will exist once an order has been accepted, processed, dispatched and received.

Fulfilment

Due to the nature of our business, stock availability cannot be guaranteed. Once you have placed an order with easons.com an email will be sent to you confirming your order details. A second email will be sent once your order has been dispatched. It is important that you give us a valid email address so you can receive these emails. easons.com is not responsible for missed communication due to incorrect contact details being submitted.
We reserve the right to accept or reject any order at our absolute discretion. Cancellation of orders, given the nature of electronic commerce, is not possible online. If you would wish to cancel an order before it is dispatched please contact us at support@easons. If you are unhappy with your goods once they have arrived you are entitled to return them for a refund or replacement. Please check the order confirmation screen carefully before completing your order.

Price of Goods

We are entitled to make adjustments to the prices listed on the website without notice. These changes may be to take account of any increase in our suppliers’ prices, a promotional price change, a change in currency exchange rates or the imposition of any new taxes or duties, or if due to an error or omission the price displayed for products on the Website is wrong.

The pricing on the Website may vary between search results pages, product pages, partner websites and in store prices. We make every effort to ensure the prices on our website are correct. The final price to be paid for a product is the price displayed in the basket before you confirm your purchase, either on easons.com or on our partner websites. Whilst we try to ensure that prices are accurate, the Company reserves the right to correct prices if we discover an error. In this event, you will be entitled to cancel your order or re-confirm it at the corrected price.

Delivery

Products marked “Order by 6pm for same day dispatch” that are in-stock at the time of order will generally be delivered the next day, Monday to Friday, within the Republic of Ireland. This timing is not guaranteed and is based on our delivery partners meeting their normal service commitments.

Products that are not marked “Order by 6pm for same day dispatch” are shipped from our extended range. For customers in the Republic of Ireland, we will endeavour to deliver these products to you within 3 – 5 working days of your order. However, products are subject to availability and delays may sometimes occur that are outside of our control. Any dates specified for delivery are therefore approximate only. If delivery is delayed for more than 21 days, you have the right to contact us and refuse to accept the product/s. In these circumstances, we will refund any money paid by you for those products and any delivery charges you have been charged. However, we will not be responsible for any other losses, costs, damages or charges that you may suffer if delivery is delayed or if you do not receive all products ordered. At the time of delivery, you may be required to validly sign-off on the delivery of the products, after which time the products become your sole responsibility. Refunds

Refunds can only be applied to the original method of purchase. If you pay be credit or debit card, then any refunds can only be credited to the original credit or debit card used.

Online Pricing

Eason stores and easons.com website select and price books independently. Online prices only apply to items purchased on easons.com whether for delivery or Click and Collect.

Discount and Promotion Codes

Occasionally, we will run discount codes in newsletters or through third parties. The following terms and conditions apply to all discount code offers, unless otherwise stated in the promotion:
• Discount codes are only valid on easons.com.
• Discounts do not apply to eVoucher (Eason Gift Card) purchases or products excluded from specific promotions.
• LEGO, Tonies, selected Pokemon products and computer / audio ranges are excluded from promotions and discount codes.
• Discount codes are not valid in any Eason retail / franchise outlet.
• Discount offers exclude postage and delivery charges.
• Discount codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, including online exclusive prices, percentage discount offers or value price offers. Further exclusions of selected items may also apply.
• Products with a promotional price sticker already have a discount applied and are not valid for further discount with a promotion code.
• Only one discount code or online offer can be used per order.
• We reserve the right to cancel any order or withdraw / extend any promotions at our discretion.
• Discount codes must be entered in the “Discount code” box in the basket at the time of purchase. Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively.
• All offers are time bound, with expiry dates specified. All offers end at midnight unless specified otherwise.
• Minimum spends may apply, as will be stated in the promotion.

Pre-Order Competitions

Occasionally, we run competitions as part of a pre-order campaign in conjunction with the book’s publisher. The competition details will be held on the relevant product page until the release date of the book. Anyone who pre-orders before the book’s publication date will be entered into the competition unless stated otherwise. Only one entry per person per competition will be accepted. The winner will be randomly selected in the form of a draw from customers who pre-order the title and will be contacted by email from [email protected].

The winner’s details will then be passed to the publisher (with the winner's consent), and delivery of the prize will be arranged by them. Prize winners must be residents of the Republic of Ireland. The Company may terminate, amend, or withdraw a competition and / or these terms and conditions at any time. Entry to any pre-order competition is conditional on acceptance of these terms and conditions. The Company will not be held liable if the named prize becomes unavailable or cannot be fulfilled. Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-refundable. No cash alternative is available.

Where a prize becomes unavailable for any reason, the promoter reserves the right to substitute that prize for a prize of equal value. The Company’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final. By entering the pre-order competition, you are deemed to have read and accepted these terms.

Percentage off and Special Price Promotions

Special prices and percentage off promotions are reflected on the item’s product page, and prices shown are the prices after the discount has been applied.

Flash Sales

• Flash Sales are valid on easons.com only and are not valid in Eason retail or franchise stores.
• The Flash Sale duration will be specified in each campaign.
• Offers cannot be applied retrospectively to existing orders.
• Product exclusions may apply.
• Gift Card purchases are excluded.
• Postage and delivery charges are excluded.
• The discount is deducted from the lowest price at which the product has been available for purchase within the 30 days immediately preceding the start of the Flash Sale.
• Other discount codes can't be used in conjunction with Flash Sale offers.
• The price net of any Flash Sale discount will be reflected on the item’s product page and final prices are as marked.

Returns and Cancellations for Orders with a Promotion or a Discount Code

Returns or cancellations may result in forfeiture of discounts applied at the time an order is placed and you may be responsible for payment of any such adjustments.
We will happily exchange any product returned in accordance with our returns policy for an alternative of up to the same value provided it is within the same promotional offer. Payment will be charged for any price difference where any exchanged product is of a higher value. Where any exchanged product is of a lower value, no refund of the price difference will be provided.

Should any item be returned and not exchanged in accordance with our returns policy, a refund will only be applicable where the returned item was not given for free (for example – the cheapest book in a 3 for 2 offer). No refund will be provided for any free items.
If an item is returned and as a result the original order no longer qualifies for a promotion (eg. because you have now only purchased two items from the same 3 for 2 offer; or because you have now only purchased 1 item from the 2 for €10 promotion; etc.), the refund amount due will be adjusted for the removal of the promotion discount.
Offers are subject to availability and may be changed or withdrawn without notice by Ofwal Limited at any time.

Eason Gift Card Terms and Conditions

Gift Cards can only be redeemed online at easons.com or in any Eason Retail Store. Multiple Gift Cards can be redeemed per transaction. The amount deducted from the Gift Card shall correspond to the value of the products and any applicable delivery charges in that transaction, up to the available balance on the Gift Card.

Where the total value of the products (and any applicable delivery charges) is less than the balance on the Gift Card, the remaining balance shall remain on the Gift Card and may be applied to future transactions until the expiry date.

Where the total value of the products (and any applicable delivery charges) exceeds the balance on the Gift Card, the Customer shall be required to pay the outstanding amount using another accepted method of payment.

Gift Cards are non-refundable, non-transferable, and may not be exchanged for cash.

Email Tracking

Some emails that we send you contain no tracking features, e.g. service emails with invoices attached. Other emails we send do include tracking, so that we can tell how much traffic those emails send to our Site, e.g. our monthly Thank You Card newsletter. Some emails track at an individual level whether the user has opened and clicked on the email. We rarely use the latter information at a personal level, rather we use it to understand open and click rates on our emails to try and improve them. Surveys and Competitions

From time to time our site may request information from users via surveys, competitions or for a particular service (e.g. newsletter). Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested will include contact information (as supplied to the site during registration) and supplementary information on your professional interests, opinions and preferences. We will use the contact information to notify winners. We will not publish winners'details on the site. If the survey or contest has a sponsor then we may share information given by entrants with the sponsor, but only with the user's consent.

Payment Processing

We use Sagepay as our external payment provider for online transactions at easons.com. We require the billing address of the credit card you use so that we can pass this to Sagepay, who check the address against the cardholder's details for security purposes. We only store delivery details when you opt-in to save these details to your Address Book. We don't store the credit card details on our server. Sagepay requires that you provide your credit card details to process the transaction. This is done on a secure Sagepay server and data passing between easons.com servers and Sagepay are encrypted using 128bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer).

Our Use of Your Information

We use personally identifiable information about you to improve our marketing and promotional efforts, to statistically analyse Site usage, to improve our content and product offerings and to customise our Site's content, layout, and services. We believe these uses allow us to improve our Site and better tailor it to meet our users' needs.

We use your email address to send you newsletters or other communications that you have requested from the Site. We offer an opt-out via the ‘Unsubscribe’ link in the footer of every promotional email we send.

Advertisers

We do aggregate personally identifiable information and disclose such information in aggregate to advertisers and for other marketing and promotional purposes. Claims, Returns and Refunds

When you purchase online, you have a statutory right to return a product (other than perishable produce or a special order) after you have received it. You have 14 days to notify us of your intention to cancel and return your order, post-receipt. You can contact our customer service team at [email protected] to do this. You then have a further 14 days to get the product physically returned to us. Any breakages or damage must be reported within 24 hours of purchase / delivery.

Accordance with Specification

Given the number of products available for sale on our Site, it is not practical to publish detailed specifications of all the products and keep these specifications completely up to date. All descriptive matter, drawings, pictures, colours, specifications and advertising on the Website are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the products.

Safety

If any manuals or safety instructions are provided with the products, you agree to read and follow carefully all the terms contained therein at all times. Any information contained on the Website is not meant to be comprehensive and if you are inexperienced in using the products or are unsure of your abilities, you should always seek expert advice and assistance.

Laws

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed fully in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland. You and we agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ireland. If any provision(s) of the Terms and Conditions is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be contrary to law, then such provision(s) shall be construed, as nearly as possible, to reflect the intentions of the parties with the other provisions remaining in full force and effect.

Termination

We may terminate the Website with or without cause at any time and effective immediately. In addition, we, in our sole discretion, may terminate your Account for violation of the letter or spirit of these Terms and Conditions.
