- About The Author
- A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (1896-1977) was the founder of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) and one of the most influential spiritual authors of the 20th century. He was a Gaudiya Vaishnava teacher in the disciplic succession from Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. In 1965, at the age of 69, he traveled to the United States, where he began spreading Krishna consciousness. He founded ISKCON (Hare Krishna Movement) in 1966, which grew into a worldwide spiritual society.
