In 2020, her work was awarded a Pushcart Prize, an American Society of Magazine Editor's selection for best new fiction (for work in the Paris Review), and honoured with the Paris Review's Terry Southern Prize. Her first book, Still Points North, a memoir about growing up in Alaska was a finalist for the National Book Critic Circle's John Leonard Prize.
