"Sharing food is one of the purest human acts." Food has always been a cornerstone in Stanley Tucci’s life: from savouring stracciatella soup in Rome to marinara sauce cooked between rehearsals, and homemade pizza shared with his children. In *What I Ate In One Year*, Tucci chronicles a year of meals—dining in restaurants, on film sets, at press junkets, at home, abroad, with friends, family, strangers, and sometimes alone.
From memorable, mouth-watering dishes to simple, comforting meals, each one is a lens for reflecting on his ever-evolving life and family.
Through these meals, Tucci explores the passage of time, the loss of loved ones, and the resilience to face the future. Whether it’s duck à l’orange with actors, steaks grilled at friendly gatherings, or meatballs made by his mother and son, these dishes bring emotional depth and significance to his days.
