- Dr. JJ Pursell is a board certified naturopathic physician and licensed acupuncturist and has worked with medicinal herbs for more than 20 years. She is the former owner of Brooklyn's The Herb Shoppe and Fettle, a Portland, Oregon-based apothecary. Pursell has been featured on television and in/on Gardenista, Mother Earth Living, Sunset, Country Gardens, Modern Farmer, and Publishers Weekly, and is a regular speaker at garden shows including the Northwest Flower & Garden Show in Seattle, as well as providing a variety of workshops across North America.
