I Loved Him from the Day He Died is a deeply moving memoir by celebrated Irish author Michael Harding, known for his profound reflections on love, loss, and the human experience. This intimate journey follows Harding as he grapples with the grief of losing his father and embarks on a transformative pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago. In this evocative narrative, Harding invites readers to walk beside him through the Irish landscapes of memory and the spiritual paths of Spain, where he confronts questions of mortality, legacy, and what it truly means to let go.
With a mix of raw honesty and gentle humour, Harding’s story is both personal and universal, resonating with anyone who has faced the complexities of family relationships or sought healing from loss. Praised by critics and fellow authors alike, I Loved Him from the Day He Died has been called “a masterpiece of introspection and resilience” and “a guide for the soul.”
Perfect for fans of: memoirs on grief, father-son stories, Irish literature, and introspective travel narratives. Whether you're drawn to the emotional landscapes of When Breath Becomes Air or the spiritual insights of The Pilgrimage by Paulo Coelho, Harding’s work will leave a lasting impact.
