This title provides illustrator Martin Impey's artistic interpretation of Wilfred Owen's renowned poem. Three years in the making, studying Owen's original manuscripts at The British Library, the English Faculty Library Oxford and consulting the Wilfred Owen Association, Impey skilfully executes not only the imagery that Owen creates in words, but also illustrates the underlying sentiment of - The Old Lie, 'It is sweet and fitting to die for your country'.
