Apocalypse, nonsense and woodland last stands
There is a gleeful end-of-the-world absurdity to this instalment that suits Jamie Smart perfectly. The book tears ahead on visual momentum, keeping its jokes broad and inventive while never losing the series’ signature sense that catastrophe should always be a bit ridiculous.

- Book Synopsis
-
Ideal for readers who:
- Love comic books where every problem becomes gloriously oversized
- Enjoy Bunny and Monkey stories with gadgets, villains and looming disaster
- Are drawn to visual humour that lands instantly and repeatedly
- Want a light, high-energy read full of unapologetic silliness
The League of Doom leans into the more apocalyptic side of Bunny vs Monkey, collecting stories that push the woods towards total disaster with comic enthusiasm. Jamie Smart’s instinct for escalation is the whole point here, with every new threat treated as another chance for bigger jokes and faster chaos.
Despite the world-ending stakes, the tone stays irreverent and welcoming. Younger readers who like their comics loud, strange and packed with motion will find plenty to enjoy in this one.
- About The Author
- Jamie Smart studied art at college for four years, but it was just an excuse to practise drawing animals with boggly-eyes. His comic Fish-Head Steve was the first comic to be shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize. Jamie has illustrated comics for The Sunday Times, the Dandy and the Beano. His well-loved Bunny vs Monkey and Looshkin stories are regularly published in The Phoenix comic, and as bestselling graphic novels. Jamie is also the author of the illustrated middle-grade Flember series.
