- Clark B. Millikan (1903-1966) was a distinguished professor of engineering at the California Institute of Technology. He was active in the establishment and management of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory from World War II on, and was an advisor on aeronautical matters to the U.S. military establishment. He taught the first course in rocket propulsion given in the United States.
