- Book Synopsis
- From an internationally renowned pediatrician and an eminent child psychiatrist, a guidebook that helps parents through the challenging preschool and first-grade years. Through delightful profiles of four very different children, Dr. T. Berry Brazelton and Dr. Joshua D. Sparrow apply the Touchpoints Theory to each of the cognitive, behavioral, and emotional leaps that occur from ages three to six. They touch upon sibling rivalry, bedwetting, tantrums, and more. The authors also tackle unique contemporary issues including keeping a child safe from the barrage of marketing and violent games aimed at children, competition, overscheduling, and other societal pressures at large today.
