- About The Author
- Malan Marnersdottir was born in Klaksvik in the Faroe Islands in 1952 She studied Nordic languages and French at the universities of Copenhagen, Arhus and Odense. She was a the Associate Professor of Nordic Literature at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt before returning to the Faroe Islands to take up the chair of Nordic Literature at the University of the Faroe Islands in 2004. She has written extensively on different aspects of Faroese literature and collaborated in the two-volume Faroese Literature. Malan is the editor of The Dedalus Book of Faroese Literature.
