- Book Synopsis
- The book is a collection of moving, true life stories told in the words of ex-prisoners, who vividly express the spiritual liberty they experienced as a result of responding in faith to the Gospel of Christ. It also considers how the Gospel effected two national leaders and describes the challenges involved in operating a sex offender residential Christian hostel. It is the second book that Peter Denison has written about prison ministry - the first being, Freedom for Prisoners.
- About The Author
- Peter Denison was commissioned from the RMA, Sandhurst, into an infantry regiment. He resigned his commission in the rank of Captain in order to commence training as a probation officer, remaining in the Probation Service for thirty-seven years. After becoming a Christian in 1974, he was involved in various Christian rehabilitation offender related charities, including Probation Service Christian Fellowship (National Chairman), Prison Fellowship (South East England Co-ordinator) and Stepping Stones Trust (SST Chairman for twenty-eight years) - receiving an OBE for his work in SST. He has a passionate interest in seeing the Lord working in the lives of prisoners.
