- Book Synopsis
- How do you draw a playful daddy? Or a smelly dog? For any kid who's ever been asked to "draw a picture of your family," here's an unusual and much more fun take on the project! Using objects to represent personality traits, acclaimed illustrator Hanoch Piven creates simple and funny portraits that perfectly describe all the members of one girl's family. Children of all ages will be inspired to make their own family portraits after reading this book.
- About The Author
- Hanoch Piven is the illustrator of several children's books, including My Dog is as Smelly as Dirty Socks, called "delightful" in a starred review from School Library Journal; and My Best Friend Is As Sharp As a Pencil, called "exuberant and intriguing . . . great, inventive fun" by Kirkus Reviews. He also illustrates for Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, The New Yorker, and others. Hanoch often gives "drawing with objects" workshops in classrooms, hospitals (in art therapy programs), and museums. Learn more at pivenworld.com.
