- Book Synopsis
- In her fourth collection of poetry, Hilary Llewellyn-Williams revisits many of her favorite themes and subjects. These lyric poems explore the natural world, the environment, and the condition of women.
- About The Author
- Hilary Llewellyn-Williams has written poetry most of her life; her first collection, The Tree Calendar (1987), won the Welsh Arts Council Young Writer Prize. She subsequently published five collections, the most recent being Greenland (2003). After an interval of several years she returned to writing poetry. Her poems have been described as "rich, intricate, intense and full of dazzling imagery", and as having "a remarkably sensuous intelligence". Her themes range from our relationship with the natural world, myth and folklore, human drama, domestic life, spirituality and the primacy of physical place. She lives in Abergavenny.
