Book Synopsis

A rich collection of poetry that celebrates our idyllic countryside, with verses on rural life, the changing seasons, the vast woodlands and seascapes of Britain and the wildlife that inhabit them. Beautifully illustrated with nostalgic scenes of England's pastures, sleepy villages and dramatic landscapes, this anthology includes timeless poetry from the eras of Chaucer and Shakespeare through Pope and Marvell, to Coleridge, Tennyson and Wordsworth right up to Vita Sackville-West and John Betjeman.

About The Author
