- About The Author
- Pardess Mitchell is a professor in the Kinesiology and Health Education Department at Harper College in Palatine, Illinois. Prior to working at Harper College, Pardess worked as a middle school Health Education teacher. At Harper College, she teaches Drugs in Our Culture and several other Health Education classes in both classroom and online settings. Pardess received her bachelor's in Health Education from the University of Maryland, her master's in Health Education from Southern Illinois University and her doctorate in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, from Northern Illinois University.
