- Book Synopsis
- The Trusted Handbook for Guiding Holistic Nursing Practice Endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Association (AHNA), Dossey & Keegan's Holistic Nursing: A Handbook for Practice, Ninth Edition is a vital resource for advancing nursing education and practice. Based on the Five Core Values of Holistic Nursing, the authors highlight the transition from illness care to healthcare, equipping nurses with the tools to meet their social and moral responsibilities in providing comprehensive, holistic patient care. The Ninth Edition continues to emphasize theory, research, and evidence-based practice, enabling students and professionals to incorporate a holistic philosophy into their work and personal lives. This approach enhances communication with patients and supports whole-person care across all specialties and levels. The revised and updated Ninth Edition introduces new content on essential topics like self-reflection and self-care, global holistic nursing, cultural engagement, and planetary health. It also offers strategies for nurses to balance work and self-care, recognizing the high-stress environments they face. With this comprehensive resource, nursing students and professionals will better understand how to integrate holistic nursing concepts into their clinical practice and daily life.
