Tom has planted trees in Somerset, surveyed a Vietnamese jungle and rescued buffaloes from drought-ridden Zimbabwe. Writing jobs have taken him to the Galápagos Islands, the Amazon rainforest, the coral reefs of Indonesia, and the Sahara Desert. Nowadays, he can be found mainly in the attic.
