- Book Synopsis
-
A killer with a gospel. A detective without faith.
On Easter morning, a body is found in the ruins of a church; decapitated, naked, knelt as if in prayer.
Detective Lewan Kane is deeply troubled by the harrowing scene: this ritualistic killer hasn't left a single trace.
In a quiet corner of Dublin, Ella Lonan is wrestling with her sanity, haunted by disturbing visions - severed heads on an altar, a young woman drowned by a black ocean.
When Kane appears in one such episode, Ella turns up at the station, desperate for answers.
Can Ella's visions help Lewan catch a killer? Or will they open the door to something even darker than death?
- About The Author
- After immigrating to Ireland from South Africa, gaining Irish citizenship in the process, Tempest Black discovered a love of writing, coffee, and corvids. She fused her passion for all three into her debut crime novel, Bitter Fruit. Tempest holds an honours degree in psychology, and her studies are currently being used to craft the next unhinged killer for DI Lewan Kane to confront. She lives in Dublin with her family, where she runs a tattoo parlour with her husband.
