- Book Synopsis
- The TR6 was often described as 'the last hairy-chested British sports car.' Its modern lines may have hidden its rugged construction dating from another era, but its performance was anything but. 120mph was easily attainable, and it found a ready market in all parts of the world. These cars are now 50 years old, but still attract a huge following worldwide. This book is designed to offer owners of TR6s an insight to the problems that can arise with their cars, and then how to fix them. Arranged into easy to follow sections - engine, drive line, suspension, etc - you can see not only where the problems arise, but also how to solve them. Information is provided on improvements, owners' clubs and spares suppliers to help keep your car in good condition and on the road.
- About The Author
- Paul Hogan has owned TRs for over 40 years, including three TR6s. While serving his apprenticeship working on Jaguars and Healeys he stripped down his own TR to the last nut and bolt and rebuilt it from the ground up. The fact that this car is still in excellent condition is testament to the care he lavished on it at the time. A former Chairman of the TR Register, Paul helped to raise the profile of the TR range through racing his own TR at Le Mans. His book about the Triumph TR6 aims to share the knowledge he has gained through experience of common problems on his own cars.
