- Book Synopsis
- The Little Book of Skincare, Self-Care, and Soul Care might seem an unusual combination, people may think. In it, however, the author explains her lifelong fascination with the power of nature to soothe, nurture, heal, and replenish us. Skincare is so much more than caring for appearance; it is healthcare and part of overall wellness. Self-care is also about cultivating healthy self-esteem and self-worth, a positive body image, and confidence in one's abilities to navigate life. These qualities help people feel good about themselves, reach their full potential, and live happier, longer lives. In soul care, the author looks at positive or higher emotions, including love, kindness, forgiveness, hope, humility, and courage. What a remarkable difference these qualities can make to people's general well-being and the happiness of others! These virtues make both the giver and receiver feel good, so in a small way, individuals can contribute to making their little corner of the world a better place.
