- Book Synopsis
- A laugh-out-loud sapphic romance. Girl meets girl, but will cynical Saoirse let herself fall in love with Ruby? After the breakupocalypse with her ex, seventeen-year-old Saoirse plans to spend the summer before uni partying, getting drunk, watching horror movies and forgetting all her family troubles by kissing girls. Enter the scene: Ruby, who might just be the prettiest girl Saoirse's ever seen. A romcom fan and a believer in true love, Ruby challenges cynical Saoirse to try a summer romance with the serious parts left out, just like in the movies. But what happens when the falling in love montage ends? Winner of the Children's Books Ireland Junior Juries' Award and shortlisted for the An Post Irish Book Awards YA Book of the Year. From the author of Not My Problem, winner of the Waterstones Prize for Older Readers. 'An emotionally stirring queer romance with witty, playful dialogue' Publishers Weekly
