- About The Author
- Pamela Myles-Hooton is an honorary fellow of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). She worked as a cognitive behavioural therapist for over twenty years. For eleven years she was based at the University of Reading where she oversaw the training of hundreds of mental health practitioners to deliver evidence-based psychological interventions for adults, children and young people experiencing common mental health problems. Pamela is author of How to Beat Agoraphobia and co-wrote The CBT Handbook, which has been used by many people to overcome problems with anxiety, depression and anger. She also co-wrote Living Well with Type 2 Diabetes which has been used by many people to better understand, and be empowered to prevent, improve and manage their illness.
