A stunning new epic fantasy adventure inspired by Welsh mythology for readers of 9-12 by award-winning author C. M. Lewis.
Twelve-year-old Quill is one of the last generation of children born into a fading modern world. No babies have been born for twelve years. No one knows why.
Everything changes when a young shapeshifter – a girl in the form of a raven – opens Quill’s eyes to a world of myth and magic and an urgent quest to recover the Light of the World. New friends and loyal warriors believe Quill is the hero they have been waiting for. But what if they’re wrong? Fighting doubt and uncertainty, he must master newfound powers in the Underworld, learn to ride a beautiful but dangerous water horse, and prepare to battle the King of Darkness and his fearsome dragons and monstrous hound. Everyone he loves is counting on him. Can Quill embrace his destiny and claim the Light of the World before it’s too late?
