- Book Synopsis
-
Am I a bad person? Or am I allowed to wonder “what if”?’ ‘Is this kind of desire simply something people feel but don’t speak about?' ‘What is a woman without fantasy?’
More pleasure, more kink, more partners, more zest – this is desire turned all the way up.
If Want sparked the fire of a quiet revolution, More gives women the fuel to let it roar. In this electrifying sequel, Gillian Anderson invites us to leave shame and fear at the door as she dials up the heat on women’s sexual fantasies and dares us to want more.
This collection of intimate letters – submitted by anonymous women across the globe, curated and introduced by Gillian – dives deeper into what women everywhere think, feel and dream about in their most private moments. Spilling out of the bedroom, the letters take us to all spaces where desire resides, from the school gates to office boardrooms, kitchen counters to forest floors. Bolder and more explicit, they come from over fifty nations and women from eighteen to eighty. Nothing is off limits: there are silken ropes and stirrups, metal collars and machines, neighbours, friends, in-laws and strangers, cravings to own and be owned, people to desire and be desired by, pleasure and pain in equal measure.
Joyful, unapologetic and deliciously unfiltered, More proves that the freedom for women to fantasise without restraint is as exhilarating and vital as ever.
Ideal for readers who:
- Want candid writing about women’s desire without shame or apology.
- Like intimate anonymous voices curated around fantasy, pleasure and wanting more.
- Are interested in the cultural conversation sparked by Want and continued here.
- Prefer nonfiction that feels bold, private, provocative and emotionally honest.
