Sim Lockier’s mum has been keeping secrets from him: she can travel into the past as a 'key' to doors in time, but every journey could be her last. Dangerous shadowy figures are hunting Sim and his mum, wanting to control this power.
In this first title in the series, Sim’s mum decides to risk going back in time once more – to find Nefertiti’s heart scarab. An action-packed, high-octane chase takes them to ancient Egypt, and the threshold of a powerful door in time. Sim must piece together clues and solve the mystery of Nefertiti’s lost tomb and, find her golden heart scarab.
Along the way, Sim realizes that he’s been on the run from the mysterious Council of Keys his whole life.
Illustrated throughout in black and white by Manuel Šumberac.
