Patricia Scanlan was born in Dublin in 1956 and is the author of ten Number One best-selling novels including the City Girl series, comprised of City Girl, City Lives, City Woman and her latest book, City Girls Forever. City Girl was her first novel, published in 1992, while she was working as a Dublin City librarian. Patricia Scanlan is the creator of the Open Door Series for adult literacy with publisher New Island.
