DeptCon 5, Ireland’s biggest Young Adult Book Convention, brought to you by Department 51 at Eason, is set to return on October 11th and 12th to its new home at the Liberty Hall Theatre.

Following the success of previous years, DeptCon 5 will again bring together some of the most influential authors and personalities of the YA Literary world. The two-day event will feature panel discussions and signing sessions with some of the bestselling young adult authors from across the U.S, UK and Ireland, along with plenty of surprises. 

Speaking ahead of the fifth annual convention, David O’Callaghan, Children’s and YA Book Buyer at Eason, said; “DeptCon 5 is again set to be the biggest and best yet with an array of amazing YA authors attending. The world of Young Adult books is an exciting, fascinating and diverse place to be right now and the event at the Liberty Hall Theatre is another step in the right direction towards engaging with readers in Ireland.”

  • Tickets are €25 per person and include a two-day event pass.
  • Timings and author line-up will be announced closer to the event. Latecomers may be refused admission to individual panel discussions.

  • Doors open at 3.00pm on Friday 11th October and 10.30am on Saturday 12th October.
  • Under 12’s must be accompanied by an adult
