Science fiction

A science fiction book or sci-fi novel is an imaginative genre of literature that includes science or technology as a thematic feature. Science fiction books often imagine a future world, incorporating possible scientific or technological developments, space exploration, contact with alien life, or a post-apocalyptic vision of the Earth. Classic examples of science fiction (also known as sci-fi) novels include Nineteen Eighty-Four by George Orwell or Dune by Frank Herbert. Popular science fiction authors include Douglas Adams, Cixin Liu, Ursula K. Le Guin and Adrian Tchaikovsky.
