About Seamus Heaney

Seamus Heaney is widely recognized as one of the major poets of the 20th century. Born and raised in County Derry, he authored over 20 volumes of poetry and criticism, and edited several widely used anthologies. He won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1995. He taught at Harvard University and served as the Oxford Professor of Poetry. Seamus Heaney died in 2013.

Some of his notable books include his literature are Death of a Naturalist, North,  and Field Work. His compilation of his much-lauded translation work, The Translations of Seamus Heaney, is available now.
