I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It's a story of one woman's ferocious will to escape the horrors of slavery. It is set in the 19th century and follows Cora, the title character who makes a bid for freedom by following the underground railroad. Both beautiful and brutal at times, I would highly recommend this novel.

Set in the 1960's Elizabeth Zott fights against the inequality of women in the Science field. She is a remarkable woman who takes on a TV cooking show and educates the population on chemistry via cooking. Women love her no nonsense approach and as she cooks, she dares them to change the status quo and claim their independence.

A beautiful and unique view of the apocalypse, Mandel's stunning novel follows several characters before and after the world ends. I fell in love with her style of writing as she turns what could be a bleak story into one of hope, optimism, and human connection.
- Ruairi Walsh, Supervisor, Eason Ballincollig
This book follows the journey of a young assassin who lost everything and must reclaim it by serving a king that she despises, all the while discovering magical powers in her blood. I liked this book so much that I read the rest of the series right after.
- Niall O'Donoghue., Sales Assistant, Eason Ballincollig
A beautiful tale about a phone box that when spoken into, messages are relayed to loved ones who have passed on. It is a haunting story about coming to terms with loss and also reveals an unexpected love story. The story is inspired by real phone box in Otsuchi in Japan, an area destroyed by the 2011 Tōhoku tsunami.
- Alex Lenihan, Store Manager, Eason Ballincollig
I really enjoyed this fascinating autobiography, in which Wim Hof's explains to the reader how he has used meditation to endure exposure to extreme cold and earn the moniker The Iceman.
- Rory A., Sales Assistant, Eason Wilton
Adapted by the Coen Brothers into an Academy Award winning film, No Country For Old Men is a dark and suspenseful novel from Cormac McCarthy. I loved the film and absolutely loved the book also. It is filled with suspense and will have you on the edge of your seat.
-Sean Kelly, Supervisor, Eason O'Connell Street
In this story which is narrated by Death, we follow a young girl named Liesel living with her foster parents in Nazi Germany during World War 2. This is a beautifully written book. It broke my heart but I loved it. I would thoroughly recommend it.
- Louise L., Sales Assistant, Eason O Connell Street
Historic fiction at its very best. This book is filled with mystery and intrigue throughout. With various different sub-plots and characters you will come to love. I have re-read this numerous times and never get bored of it.
- Marie R., Sales Assistant, Eason O'Connell Street
This is such a wonderful book - a beautiful parable about learning to listen to your heart, reading the omens strewn along life's path and above all, following your dreams. A book that is constantly asked for in store. This is one of my all-time favorites and has changed the way I look at the world.
- Marie R., Sales Assistant, Eason O'Connell Street
A little out of my comfort zone, I decided to try this novel and I'm glad that I did. It centers around the disappearance of domestic worker 'Nisha' and the reluctance of the police to get involved on the island of Cyprus. It is a beautifully written book, very thought provoking and one I would highly recommend.
