There is a secret at the heart of a small Finnish town, involving its most famous occupant, the world-renowned children's author Laura White, and a strange literary game. Ella is an unsettled young teacher and aspiring author, who returns to her hometown of Rabbit Back. On the evening that she is initiated as the tenth member of the local Literary Society. White, who was its founder, disappears before everyone's eyes.
