Spelling Bee 2019 – Dublin, Meath & Louth

Week seven has arrived for our Eason Spelling Bee and once again our team is back on the road. Our Spelling Bee Team made their way to Dublin, Meath and Louth to see what the competition would have in store for them this week. Once again, our team were in high spirits and excited to meet all participants. Check out all the details below and find out who was crowned Spelling Bee County champions.

Dublin

On Tuesday 2nd April our Spelling Bee Team made their way to the Cartlon Hotel to host the Dublin Spelling Bee. This was one of our largest County Spelling Bee Competitions to date and it was great to see all participants and their supports in high hopes. A total of 73 spellers battled it out to be crowned our Dublin County Champion and they didn’t disappoint. The standard of spelling once again was extremely high with Jamie Caldwell from Scoil Cholmcille, Donaghmede scooping our top prize and was crowned our Dublin Spelling Bee champion. Jamie is an avid reader and enjoys reading the Alex Rider series. Jamie will now go on to represent Dublin in the Leinster Final on Tuesday 21st May.
