If being a parent isn't hard enough, being a parent to a talented young footballer can be even more challenging.If you've never played top-level football from a young age, you may not be familiar with the process of developing a young footballer through the Youth Academy system. In fact, all you've probably been used to is acting a chauffeur, rescheduling your life to fit around your child's training sessions and games. Club representatives are all very nice and polite but they often don't communicate well, and you're unsure about what the future might hold for your boy. You don't know the correct etiquette for finding out how highly your son is valued by his club. He dreams of playing in the first team one day, and maybe even representing his country. There are all sorts of people in your ear, telling you how good he is, and that he has a bright future ahead of him. So what do you do? Who can you turn to for advice?
