Dougie Poynter is a musician, songwriter, designer and author. Dougie has been obsessed with natural history and dinosaurs from the age of three when he visited the Natural History Museum with his mum.  When he’s not having a jam session, Dougie is working with charities such as WWF, Greenpeace and Five Gyres. Dougie is a keen conservationist and committed to cleaning up the planet, he most notably was instrumental in the campaign to ban microplastics in the UK. Plastic Sucks! You Can Make A Difference is Dougie's first standalone book, out 5th September 2019.

Event Terms & Conditions

 

  • Your ticket entitles you to one place in the queue to meet Dougie. Ticket price includes one copy of Dougie Poynter brand new book Plastic Sucks! (RRP €12.99). A maximum of one book and one entry ticket per person. 
  • The event will take place in Eason O'Connell St. Dublin at 1:00 pm on September 28th.
  • Should you not receive your email confirmation please contact [email protected] quoting your booking reference. 
  • Early arrivals will be turned away. Anyone arriving to the venue earlier than 12.00pm will be asked to return at the time mentioned. 
  • Please use our Abbey Street entrance. Due to the anticipated high turn-out, please be prepared to queue. Some queuing may take place outside so do please dress appropriately and keep hydrated. 
  • You will receive your copy of the book at the venue. Dougie will sign your copy of Plastic Sucks and unfortunately dedications within the book will not be possible. Dougie will not be signing any other material other than the book. There will be an opportunity to take a photo with Dougie.
  • Anyone under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult. Any accompanying adults (aged 18+ and may be asked for ID) will not require a ticket. Due to time and space limitations each child can only be accompanied by one adult.
  • Please note the event may be filmed, as an attendee you consent to footage of you being used for promotional purposes.
  • Tickets cannot be resold or transferred and shall not be purchased or obtained from or through any person, commercial agent, company or otherwise than directly by the applicant from Eason. Any tickets advertised for sale will be void. Tickets for this event are only valid on September 28th.
  • Management have the right to refuse entry or remove anyone who does not comply with these rules or who fails to follow reasonable instructions on the day. 
  • Unfortunately, due to the unique element of this event we cannot reserve or have copies signed for those unable to attend on the day.
  •  Must produce your ticket to gain entry to the event.
  •  Eason reserve the right to amend or cancel this event without notice.
